Pickleball 101 Montréal respects your privacy. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Québec Law 25 (Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information).

1 · Information we collect

  • Account: name, email, phone, date of birth (for Junior memberships), optional address.
  • Payment: processed by Stripe. We never store full card numbers — only the last four digits and card type.
  • Bookings: court history, players you've booked with, hour pack usage (club credits).
  • Communications: messages, requests, and responses you send us.
  • Technical: IP address, device type, pages visited, essential cookies only.

2 · Why we collect it

We use your information to manage your account, process payments, confirm bookings, send service communications, meet legal obligations (accounting, tax), and improve our services. We never sell your information.

3 · Legal basis and consent

We collect your information on the basis of the service contract (booking, membership) and, for optional marketing communications, on the basis of explicit consent that you can withdraw at any time from your profile.

4 · Third parties we share with

  • Stripe (payments) — United States, governed by standard contractual clauses.
  • PlayByPoint (bookings) — our booking platform SaaS provider.
  • Resend (transactional email) — for confirmations and reminders.
  • Vercel (hosting) — servers in North America.
  • Public authorities where legally required.

5 · Retention

We keep your information as long as your account is active, then for seven (7) years after closure to meet Québec tax and accounting obligations. Beyond that, your information is deleted or anonymized.

6 · Your rights

  • Access your information and request a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Portability in a structured format.
  • Deletion (right to be forgotten), subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Withdraw consent to marketing communications.
  • File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).

7 · Privacy officer

Questions, requests, or complaints: email info@pickleball101montreal.ca with "Privacy" in the subject. We respond within thirty (30) days.

8 · Privacy incidents

In the event of an incident presenting a serious risk of harm, we will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and affected individuals without delay, as required by Law 25.

9 · Changes

This policy may be updated. The effective date indicates the latest revision. Substantial changes are communicated by email to active members.
